Yadgir District Disaster Management Authority Announces Recruitment for Professional Post
The Yadgir District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has announced recruitment for the post of District Disaster Management Professional on a contractual basis under the Other Disaster Management Project.
According to the official Yadgir district administration notification, the recruitment notification was issued on 18 August 2026, with applications scheduled to remain open until 2 September 2026.
The position is intended for candidates with relevant postgraduate qualifications and experience in areas connected with disaster management, rural development, environmental science, social sciences or management.
The recruitment is particularly relevant for professionals interested in disaster preparedness, emergency planning, risk reduction and district-level coordination.
Disaster management has become increasingly important for district administrations because emergencies can arise from floods, heavy rainfall, fires, industrial incidents, road accidents and other hazards. A dedicated professional can support authorities in preparing plans, maintaining information systems and coordinating response mechanisms.
Role in District Preparedness
A district disaster management professional can contribute to activities such as emergency planning, coordination with government departments, updating disaster-management databases and supporting preparedness exercises.
For Yadgir, the position is especially relevant because the district includes agricultural areas, industrial zones, villages and major road networks. Effective emergency planning can help authorities respond more efficiently during unexpected situations.
The official district administration has specified the eligibility requirements and application procedure in the recruitment notification. Candidates interested in the position should verify the official notification before applying.
